JazzArt is about simplicity – simple lines, patterns, colors, and subjects – all to create a simple elegance. Susan Mendenhall paints in both watercolor and acrylic. She uses masking fluid to shape her watercolor paintings. This creates an organic and imperfect design. Susan uses acrylic paints, the repetition of a simple pattern is the focus of each painting. JazzArt began with inspirational greeting cards. As a lover of succinct quotations, Susan desired to make the words visible. The objective of both the words and design is to express only what is needed and nothing more.

Susan has been an honored to be commissioned for paintings, greeting cards, and business logos. Four of her acrylic paintings have found a home at Epic Systems Headquarters.

JazzArt is described as simple, happy, whimsical, playful, and calming. To bring these qualities into people’s lives is a privilege as an artist. If your eyes fall onto a JazzArt painting and your heart finds delight, Susan has done her job.

Wendy Benson is Simply Dazzling to brighten her little corner of the world! Whether that be by sparkly, colorful, framed pieces, sun, catchers, pixie wands or hand-painted laser cut acrylics or wood is up to you! Wendy has been Dazzling since well before Covid was a thing; celebrating eight years in August and looking forward to many more!

🌿 Poinsettia Update! 🌿

Our poinsettias have officially been moved into the new growing greenhouses and spaced out as they continue their journey toward holiday color. ❤️

Right now, 12-15 hours of uninterrupted darkness each night is essential for the poinsettias to develop their colorful bracts. And it’s starting to happen! Some of the first hints of color are beginning to show. 🎄

We’ll keep you posted as these beauties continue to transform. There’s lots happening behind the scenes at Klein’s! 🌱

Sheila Warren creates one-of-a-kind, hand-dyed clothing by combining thoughtful selection with experimental dye techniques. Each garment begins as a carefully chosen high-quality piece made from natural, absorbent fibers such as cotton or rayon. Sheila then applies a variety of folding and binding methods to the cloth, using powdered dyes in combination with ice to produce organic, unpredictable dye-splitting effects. Techniques like gravity dyeing and muck dyeing further enhance the visual depth and individuality of each piece. Sheila’s work is rooted in the balance between control and spontaneity, resulting in wearable art that is both expressive and entirely unique.

Karen Beck works with fused glass to create art for the home and garden. Over the years, she has taken classes to learn and work with glass and found it to be a medium where she both excelled and met challenges. Karen has a deep appreciation of glass and its characteristics both in solid and in liquid form. She strives to create pieces that emulate the beauty and movement of the abstract. Some pieces are hand cut and designed with movement in mind and once fired, will have a more structured or pre-planned design. Other pieces are fired numerous times with a variety of frits and shards, where the high temperature schedule of the kiln causes the glass to move and flow.

Inspired Alchemy creates handcrafted superfood cacao truffles that Aubree Saia often describe as “edible flavor art.” Aubree's medium is cacao combined with whole food ingredients, herbs, botanicals, nuts, spices, flowers, and superfoods. Each truffle is hand-rolled in small batches with intention, creativity, and deep attention to flavor layering and sensory experience.

Aubree works in this medium because she has always been fascinated by the intersection of nourishment, beauty, ritual, and flavor. Cacao is incredibly versatile and acts as a beautiful canvas for botanical and culinary creativity. Through Inspired Alchemy, Aubree aims to create offerings that feel both indulgent and deeply nourishing.

Aubree's work draws on nature, herbalism, global flavors, seasonal ingredients, color, texture, and the emotional experience food can create. Many of her truffle collections are inspired by places, plants, memories, and sensory experiences. She is especially drawn to creating flavor profiles that surprise people and invite them into a moment of delight and discovery.

Everything is handcrafted in Madison, Wisconsin in a licensed commercial kitchen using organic, nutrient-dense ingredients whenever possible. The truffles are beautifully packaged and designed to feel like a complete sensory and gifting experience from first glance to final bite.
