Throwing it back to a Sea Girt, NJ project! 🌊

A few years ago, we installed these beautiful automated top-down, bottom-up cellular shades in this Sea Girt home—and they're still a great example of why we love this style of window treatment.

The clean, understated look of honeycomb shades works beautifully with the bright, open feel of the room, while the cellular construction adds an important functional benefit: insulation.

And the top-down, bottom-up design gives the homeowner more control than a traditional shade. Keep the lower portion covered for privacy while letting natural light in from above, or adjust the shades completely depending on the time of day.
Add motorized operation, and controlling multiple windows becomes simple and convenient.

A clean look, flexible privacy, natural light, insulation, and automation—all in one window treatment.

Just another reason cellular shades remain such a versatile choice for homes along the Jersey Shore. Check out our Design Blog at https://asapblinds.com/design-blog/f/automated-top-down-bottom-up-cellular-shades-in-sea-girt-nj for more info!

Natural texture. Beautiful light. Coastal elegance.

We recently completed this beautiful Avon-by-the-Sea, NJ home with a combination of woven light-weave Waterfall Roman Shades and plantation shutters—and we love how the two styles work together!

The woven Roman shades bring a soft, natural texture to the windows along with an elegant fabric that complements the home's coastal feel. The light weave allows beautiful filtered daylight into the rooms while adding privacy and taking the edge off the direct sun.

And we especially love the cordless operation. With no cords hanging beside the windows, the shades have a clean, uncluttered appearance that lets the beautiful woven fabric take center stage.

In the bathroom, we installed plantation shutters for a different kind of look—and a very practical reason: privacy and light control. The adjustable louvers make it easy to control how much light comes in while maintaining the privacy that's important in a bathroom.

Different rooms, different needs, and two window treatment styles that complement each other beautifully. Read more about it in our Design Blog at https://asapblinds.com/design-blog/f/woven-roman-shades-and-plantation-shutters-in-avon-by-the-sea-nj

Coastal style meets customized comfort in this beautiful Bay Head, NJ home. 🌊

For the bedroom, we installed custom drapery with a unique square pole, lined for additional room darkening, with a light-filtering roller shade behind the drapery.

This layered window treatment gives the homeowners options throughout the day—filter the sunlight and maintain privacy with the roller shade, or close the lined drapery when more room darkening is desired.

The custom drapery also brings softness, texture, and a beautifully finished look to the bedroom without feeling overly formal.

On the main floor, we continued the relaxed coastal aesthetic with 14” Faux Natural Woven Valances paired with automated roller shades, which you can see the video of that we posted this past Sunday. The natural woven texture adds warmth and an organic feel, while the automated shades provide additional light control and privacy.

And the best part? The shades can be operated individually or all at once, making it easy to adjust the light throughout the space as the day changes.

It's a great example of how different window treatments can work together to create a home that's both beautiful and functional. Read more about it in our Design Blog at https://asapblinds.com/design-blog/f/custom-drapery-automated-shades-in-bay-head-nj

Experience the Movement. 🌊

There’s something especially satisfying about window treatments that look beautiful standing still—and come to life with the touch of a button.

For this Bay Head, NJ home, we installed 14” Faux Natural Woven Valances with automated roller shades throughout the main floor. The natural woven texture adds warmth, dimension, and an easy coastal feel, while the automated roller shades provide the flexibility our clients need for light control and privacy.

The shades can be operated individually or all at once, making it easy to adjust the entire space as the sunlight changes throughout the day—or simply create the right atmosphere with the touch of a button.

It’s a great combination for coastal living: natural texture + clean lines + effortless automation.

And this was just one part of the window treatment plan for this beautiful home. We also installed custom drapery and plantation shutters, which we'll be taking a closer look at in a future post.

At ASAP Blinds, we love creating window treatments that don't just complement a room—they make living in it easier.

Experience the Movement.

Before & After — BAM! What a difference!

These beautiful natural woven Waterfall Roman Shades transformed the windows in this Manasquan, NJ home.

The woven material comes from a natural-light collection from the Netherlands, bringing beautiful organic texture and warmth to the room.

And here's the interesting part: the clients chose NO liner.

Why? They wanted to keep the natural daylight coming through the windows and still be able to see the outdoors through the woven material. The result is a softly filtered light that lets the beautiful view remain part of the room.

The cordless operation keeps the look clean and uncluttered, while the Waterfall Roman style adds a soft, tailored finish to the windows.

A great example of how the right window treatment can add warmth, texture, privacy, and light control—without closing off the room from the outdoors. Read more about it in our Design Blog at https://asapblinds.com/design-blog/f/natural-woven-roman-shades-in-a-manasquan-nj-home

Take another look at this Spring Lake, NJ transformation!

Yesterday we showed you the Before & After photos. Today, we're putting the transformation in motion. 👀

These windows went from simple shades to custom single-panel plantation shutters, giving the room a much more finished and architectural look.

The gear-driven louvers are one of our favorite details. Without a front tilt bar, the shutters maintain beautifully clean lines while still giving the homeowners easy control of the louvers.

Open them up for maximum view through and natural light. Tilt them to adjust privacy and sunlight. Close them down when you want more privacy.

And because every panel is hinged, the windows remain easy to access for cleaning.
It's a classic window treatment with a lot of everyday versatility—and this Before & After really shows what a difference custom shutters can make.

These beautiful Spring Lake, NJ windows got a whole new look with custom single-panel plantation shutters.

And there's more here than just a beautiful transformation. These shutters feature gear-driven louvers, so there's no front tilt bar needed. The result? Clean, uncluttered lines that let the architecture of the shutters—and the room—speak for itself.

The single-panel design also provides maximum view through when the louvers are open, while giving the homeowners precise control over:
☀️ Natural light
👀 Privacy
🌿 The view outside
🪟 Window access

Every panel is hinged, making it easy to open the shutters completely whenever the windows need to be accessed for cleaning.

A classic look, modern functionality, and a custom fit for this lovely Spring Lake home!

These Natural Woven Roman Shades brought a whole new feeling to this Mantoloking, NJ summer home. 🌊

The windows had been uncovered for years, and the homeowners wanted to make the room feel a little warmer and more finished while adding to the coastal character of the space.

The natural woven texture was a perfect fit.

Because these Roman Shades have no liners, the north-facing windows allow the daylight to gently filter through the weave, really highlighting the beautiful natural texture and creating a soft, inviting glow.

The result? Warmth, texture and a relaxed coastal feel — without making the room feel overly formal.

Sometimes a simple change makes a BIG difference! Read more about it in our Design Blog at https://asapblinds.com/design-blog/f/natural-woven-roman-shades-in-mantoloking-nj
