One design, reimagined for two spaces.

For Megan & Alex’s wedding at The Fives, the ceremony began upstairs with floral compositions layered among tall white columns, candlelight, and the architecture of the space.

After the ceremony, our team brought every column downstairs and completely reconfigured them for the reception—turning the same vertical structures horizontally to create a layered, architectural installation in front of the head table. The ceremony florals and candlelight moved with them, but the finished design took on an entirely different form.

Repurposing doesn’t have to look like repurposing. When we plan for the transition from ceremony to reception, the same floral pieces can have two very different lives within a wedding day.

Overmyer-Noday Wedding | Brookside Golf & Country Club

A romantic fairytale reception infused with layers upon layers of pink roses.

That was the vision for the Overmyer-Noday wedding at Brookside Country Club — and we carried it throughout the ballroom, from the dramatic draped entrance to tables filled with flowers in varying shades of pink.

Roses were unquestionably the star, with an especially generous use of pink garden roses woven throughout the centerpieces. Tall floral statements brought drama to the room, while lower designs, candlelight, and smaller details created those layers that make a reception feel completely transformed.

This wedding was a true collaboration. Our bride, her mom, and her aunt worked closely with us throughout the design process, sharing ideas and making decisions alongside us as we developed and executed the vision.

And perhaps the best part was hearing the reaction once the room was finished. We received so many wonderful compliments — from the family and their guests, fellow wedding vendors, and members of the Brookside staff.

A little bit of August from our gardens. 🌿

This cascading bridal bouquet, designed in sunset-inspired shades of coral, pink, orange and blue, included cosmos & bachelor buttons gathered right here from our cutting gardens.

Chelsea's wedding flowers were picked up from our workshop and driven to Pittsburgh for a wedding at the Pittsburgh Aviary — a rather perfect destination for flowers that began in a garden shared with our goldfinches. 💛

Maddie & Kameron | The Barn at Cliffside Acres

There are some weddings that feel a little more personal.

Maddie was my son William’s fourth-grade teacher, and years before that, her mom, Jill, was his preschool teacher. Getting to create the floral designs for this family after they had both been such a special part of William’s life made this one especially meaningful to me.

For Maddie & Kameron’s day at Cliffside Acres, we kept everything modern, clean and stylishly simple, letting hydrangeas take center stage. Masses of white and spring green hydrangea, touches of white roses, crisp white vessels and candlelight felt right at home against the venue’s white walls, black architectural details and expansive windows.

From the oversized ceremony flowers at Cliffside's Glass House to the hydrangea-filled reception tables and even the seating display, the same simple floral language carried throughout the day.

Clean. Fresh. Modern. And hydrangeas everywhere. 🤍🌿

Congratulations, Maddie & Kameron. It was such a privilege to be a small part of this day for a family that has meant so much to ours.

Avery & Evan | St. Charles Preparatory School

Inspired by the ease of a summer day on the coast, Avery & Evan's wedding paired soft blue hydrangea, crisp white blooms, woven textures, and candlelight against the timeless architecture of St. Charles Preparatory School.

From the chapel to the reception, every floral element was designed to feel fresh, relaxed, and elegant. Woven baskets, rattan textiles, ceramic vessels, and hydrangea-infused floral statements brought a subtle coastal influence to the historic setting.

One of our favorite moments was seeing the cool blue-and-white palette come to life beneath the stained glass and brick architecture—a reminder that "coastal" doesn't have to mean oceanside. It can simply evoke the feeling of a cool summer breeze, wherever you are.

Congratulations, Avery & Evan. Thank you for trusting Madison House Designs to bring your vision to life.

A woodland setting called for something different.

Rather than filling the ceremony with flowers, we designed an architectural botanical installation that felt right at home in the understory of the woods at The Brook. Layers of foliage, kiwi vine, hanging amaranthus, poppy pods, moss, and fern created texture, movement, and depth while allowing the beauty of the setting to remain the focal point.

It's one of those designs where the materials don't compete with nature—they become part of it.

Aged greens, mauve tones, and deep burgundy created a palette that felt timeless from ceremony through reception. Layered florals, thoughtful textures, and an old-world sense of romance brought every space together while allowing the celebration itself to remain the focus.

It was such a pleasure creating these flowers for A + M. Wishing you both a lifetime of joyful celebrations and every happiness together.

An estate garden aesthetic set against the rolling landscape of the Hocking Hills region.

For Hannah & Colton’s wedding at The Seventy Five Venue in Rockbridge, we designed a suspended floral canopy stretching the entire length of the 24' head table and rising more than 8 feet from the floor. Hydrangeas, garden roses, peonies, delphinium, english ivy, and candlelight filled the length of the table beneath the chandeliers and overlooking the surrounding hillsides.

We especially loved the incorporation of personal pieces supplied by the couple throughout the celebration — including the swan vessel used on the bar and their collected baskets woven into the ceremony design. Those details brought an added sense of character and individuality to the overall atmosphere of the day.

One of my favorite spaces at the new Friesian Empire in Westerville is this charming chapel, designed in the style of a historic prairie church.

For their recent open house, we layered in prairie-inspired blooms to frame the entrance.

April 25 · High Line Car House

Rings of airy greenery with a whimsical touch of tulips, set against the brick wall and suspended from our acrylic arch. The light from the venue’s chandeliers overhead reflected softly off the acrylic, adding another element of interest.

Created for a couple who wanted something a little unexpected.
