1955 photo of Martin Levy's Antique Dome located at 910 Lincoln Rd. in Miami Beach. They began in business on E. Flagler St in downtown Miami in 1923 and moved to Lincoln Rd in 1928. They remained in business there until 1961 when the then owner Arnold Levy retired and the entire stock was liquidated at Jordan Marsh. Looking west along the new Lincoln Rd Mall in Miami Beach (1963)

Lincoln Road had recently been redesigned by architect Morris Lapidus into one of the first pedestrian malls in the country. This westward view shows wide walkways, fountains, and stylish storefronts flanked by palm trees. Shoppers strolled, dined, and people-watched in what became known as “The Fifth Avenue of the South.” Lapidus turned a street into a destination an outdoor promenade that blended architecture with atmosphere.
