I turned a childhood memory into a candle ✨🌹

Growing up, my grandmother used to take me to a place called “El Paraíso” — an old hacienda surrounded by endless roses, romance, and history. It’s the same house that inspired the love story in the literary work “La María” by author Jorge Isaacs.

I remember wandering through the gardens completely enchanted by the different colors and fragrances of the roses, dreaming that one day I’d have a rose garden of my own.! In 2024 I was able to visit again and I took note of the many roses but what was fascinating was the energy of the place. The energy of love and old romance was so palpable- so pure.

Years later, that dream became first my garden and then this Love Candle — inspired by the wild beauty of my own rose garden and blended with soft rose petals, romantic carnation, and delicate jasmine to capture the feeling of gentle, pure love. Topped with ametrine and rose quartz for a little extra magic, balance, and love 💗💜

Every rose color tells a different love story… and this one will always feel like home to
me.

It started in July 2023

With one question: why can’t I find a candle that’s safe for my cats and my family?

So I made one.

Then I spent a full year testing and getting reiki certified before sharing it with the world.

Today, Montclair Candle Co. is officially a registered trademark. ®

Slow, intentional growth is still growth — and we’re just getting started. 🕯️

Thank you to everyone who believe in us from the start. Especially my family, my friends, my neighbors (I’m looking at you ) and all our clientelle and the stores who open their shelves to our candles.

A special thanks to , for all your continued support.

The questions I get asked most at markets?

Let me answer them all right here.

Every single candle we make is clean — yes, even the wicks. No metal cores, no toxins, just a clean burn from start to finish just a beautiful clean product that it’s better for your home (and your pets 🐾).

Have a question? Drop it in the comments — I’d love to hear from you.
