Orders due to ship today and yesterday are going to the post office a day late. Reason being, I've had a week from hell, quite frankly, and I needed a day to myself yesterday to decompress.

Some of you may remember that my sister has been withholding my cat, Loki, from me. Well, now she has kidnapped him. She fled the house with my cat and blocked the entire family, and no one knows where she is. I'm heartsick over it. I just want my baby Loki back. 💔

In addition to that, I've had other major stressors this week that I'm not going to talk about here. But let's just say, the past week has not been kind.

So, I apologize for the delay in packages going to the post office, but sometimes life just kinda gets in the way. And I'm a person first and a business second. So self-care is important.

I am in awe of this person's talent. Soapmaker friends, check this out!

So, I made this clown soap, and he came out GLORIOUSLY TERRIFYING! Like the Adios soap, I really went all out on him. There were 17 scrapers and 5 embeds involved, and I have 5 hours of video showing the blending, pouring and scraping of just the clown loaf. Yes, five hours, and that doesn't include everything or even begin to explain how much was going on in this pour!

Many of the layers were multi-color pours, including the lips, face paint, mouth and teeth, eyebrows, cheeks and nose! If you look closely at the finished bar, you can see the different hand mixed colors I used on one side of his face versus the other to make it look like light is coming from one side of the bar. Even his furrowed brows (which he HAS thanks to my son) and the whites of his eyes are slightly different colors! I spent a full day after drawing my design, tweaking him to make sure he was definitely not your average funny clown and making sure I had the lighting differences before I designed the scrapers for him!

On the hair I used 2 ITP swirls and 2 colors of red, with darker red and lighter bits on the more shadowed side of his face, then lighter red with slightly darker bits on the lighter side. The goal was to carry that lighting effect through the hair, too, rather than have the face looking carefully shaded and the hair doing whatever it wanted with no texture. In hindsight, maybe I could have made the reds contrast a little more, but I didn't want to take focus off of his eyes.

After all that planning and pouring all those layers, I spent all morning not sure I had pulled it off and worrying he'd be a mess! You just don't know until you actually cut into the loaf, which was a horribly long wait in the morning, since I ended up soaping into the early morning itself!

I may or may not have screamed a little bit when I saw the result on the first cut. Spoiler- I screamed.

Without further ado.... Meet Peepers. He is scented in a mixture of scents that came out smelling a lot like campfire and black licorice- which totally tracks!

Green witch pillar. I didn't notice the flake of wax that fell onto the skull's eye at the bottom until after I packaged the candle and looked at this picture, so I can't take a new picture of it after I brushed it off. Oh well.

Tomorrow (October 14th) is the last day to place orders if you want to be sure your candle(s) will arrive before Halloween!

This allows for my processing time, as well as time for the orders to be shipped and delivered by Halloween, barring any significant USPS delays.

This message is relevant to the continental U.S. only. Orders from Alaska, Hawaii, Puerto Rico, Canada, and the UK take longer to ship, so they would likely arrive after Halloween.

I will TRY to get any orders placed the following few days made and shipped in time to arrive before Halloween, but after the 14th I can't guarantee* it.
