The Pearl Room didn’t come together overnight. ✨

What you’re seeing is just a glimpse of months of work. So much happened behind the scenes that never made it into this video; sanding away the gray floors, replacing the windows while preserving the home’s 1868 Victorian soul, swapping the ceiling fan for a chandelier worthy of the space, sourcing artwork, layering in antiques, and styling every last detail.

Every decision was made to honor the history of this home while giving it a new life.

Looking back at where it started makes me even more proud of how far this room has come. 🤍

A room imagined through objects I couldn’t stop thinking about.

Every detail in this rendering started with a real piece I fell in love with; the draped walnut table, the velvet fringe chairs, the mural panels, the gathered curtains, the antique-inspired textures. I wanted the space to feel cinematic, romantic, and deeply collected rather than simply decorated.

Artara Atelier is where sourcing, storytelling, and interiors meet.
Not trend-driven. Emotion-driven.

The Many Lives of the Pearl Room. 🏛️✨

Before it was a sanctuary, this space lived a thousand lives, serving as a local post office, a hotel, and an antique shop. We wanted to honor that history while transforming it into something ethereal and entirely untraditional.

By restoring the original hardwood floors and those storied windows, we grounded the room’s “past life” to make way for a new one. The result is a design fantasy: where grand, soaring ceilings meet a curated mix of vintage finds and modern silhouettes. A true testament to the beauty of restoration.
