I need a little help with this room and would really appreciate some ideas. I’m trying to fix it up for a teenage girl and make it feel warmer, more comfortable, and a little more put together without making the small space feel crowded.

Right now, the basics are already here—a bed, desk, storage, rug, and a nice little window—but the room still feels pretty plain. I’m thinking it could use some personality on the walls, maybe better bedding, a few decorative touches, and possibly some smarter storage to keep everything organized.

Since the room is narrow, I also want to be careful about adding too much. I’d love for it to feel cozy and stylish while still leaving enough open space to move around comfortably. Maybe some wall shelves, soft lighting, framed prints, a mirror, or a few coordinated colors could help bring everything together.

What would you add or change to make this room feel more like a cozy teenage girl’s bedroom? 💕

**I’m starting to go crazy trying to pick a neutral whole-house color for our new build 😅**

So far I’ve tried:

* **SW Accessible Beige** — feels too dark
* **SW Natural Linen** — seems to pull pink
* **SW Wool Skein** — looks too green to me

The drywall isn’t up yet, but I’ve taken the swatches into the actual rooms to see how they read in the space.

Our **doors, casing, and trim will be SW Alabaster**, so I’m looking for a main wall color that feels **warm, light, and neutral** without going too beige, pink, green, or gray.

Does anyone have a **magic Sherwin-Williams neutral** that works beautifully with Alabaster?

Would love suggestions before I completely lose my mind over paint samples. 😂🤍

I’m getting moved into this space at work, and I’m trying to figure out how to make it feel like an actual office instead of a room that was never designed to be one!

There are a few things about the layout that I really can’t change. The desk needs to stay facing the wall because of where the phone jack is located, and with the way my monitors are positioned, turning the desk around wouldn’t really work anyway. If someone were sitting across from me trying to have a conversation, they probably wouldn’t even be able to see my face behind all the monitors. So for now, this desk setup is staying exactly where it is.

The good news is that I feel like the room has plenty of potential. I actually like the warm wood ceiling, and there’s already a lot of storage with the cabinets along the back wall. Right now, though, everything feels a little plain and very “workplace” rather than comfortable or welcoming.

I’d love some inexpensive ideas for decorating and warming up the space without spending a fortune or making it feel cluttered. Maybe some plants, artwork, better lighting, a few things on the cabinets, or something for the empty wall around the TV? I’m open to creative ideas, especially things that could be thrifted, DIYed, or found on a budget.

If this were going to be your office, what would you add or change while keeping the existing desk and monitor setup? I’d love to see what everyone would do with this space!

I finally decided to take a chance and paint my bathroom black, and I honestly can’t believe how much it changed the whole space! I was a little nervous that such a dark color might make the bathroom feel smaller or too heavy, but once everything came together, it gave the room exactly the mood and personality I was hoping for.

I really love the contrast between the dramatic black walls and all of the white—the sink, toilet, tub, tile, and trim really stand out now. The round black mirror and little touches of greenery help pull everything together too. It feels simple and modern but still cozy, and I’m really happy with how it turned out.

Now I’m wondering if it needs one more little something. The shower curtain is pretty neutral, and part of me thinks I should switch it out for something with more texture, pattern, or color. Another part of me likes how calm it is and wonders if I should leave the curtain alone and bring in a pop of color somewhere else instead.

What would you do? Keep the black-and-white look going, spice up the shower curtain, or introduce another accent color through towels, rugs, or decor? I’d love some ideas because I feel like I’m really close to finishing this room, but I can’t decide what that final touch should be! 🖤

I’m at that point where I keep looking around this room and wondering what I should add, what I should change, and what I should finally let go. 😉😘

I really love how bright and comfortable the space feels, especially with all the natural light coming through the windows. The gray sectional gives us plenty of seating, and I’ve tried to keep everything soft and neutral with the pillows, curtains, rug, coffee table, flowers, and simple artwork.

But now I’m wondering if it’s a little too neutral or if it just needs a few finishing touches to bring everything together. Maybe a little color, different artwork, a plant, warmer accessories, or something else I haven’t thought of yet.

So tell me—what would you add to this room, and what would you remove or change? I’m open to ideas! Would you keep the calm neutral look or introduce a little more color and personality? 😉😘

**Help me choose a cabinet color! 🌿**

I’m getting ready to paint my kitchen cabinets and originally had my heart set on **SW Evergreen Fog** because I’ve seen it used in so many beautiful kitchens.

But in *my* space, it’s reading much more blue than I expected. That’s the sample on the right.

The sample on the left is **SW Clary Sage**, and I think I may actually like it better in this lighting.

What do you think? Would you go with Evergreen Fog or Clary Sage for the cabinets? I’d love to hear from anyone who has used either color in their kitchen.
