Lynn (in blue) and her students recently completed their Teddy Sweaters, just in time for cold weather. One student described it as comfiest, coziest sweater they have ever worn! It knits up super quickly in Juniper Moon Farms Beatrix yarn on size 15 needles! Claudia, Ellen, Judy, and Lynn were happy to be able to wear their sweaters recently on the first really cold day of October!

New yarn -Ava from Anzula. It’s sport/dk weight with 330 yds/100g. The fiber content is 80% superwash merino, 10% cashmere, 10% nylon. Super yummy and fantastic colors.

We love how Round Mountain Fibers transforms yarn to reflect nature. For this month we have the Jumping Spider. Who woulda thought a spider had so many pretty colors?

This was a great listen on NPR today. It explains what synthetic fibers are and how they are made. It explains which natural fibers are temperature regulating. It was very interesting and would be a great story to listen to as you work on your project.

Friday Fun - friends wearing the same sweater. The pattern is Sommer Ella. It’s a great top-down summer sweater knit at 5 sts per inch. You could use Hampton or Appalachia Baby Organic Cotton.
