I turned one of my paintings into a sweatshirt! I didn't want to just have this artwork on the wall, I needed to carry the message around with me as a reminder of the way He is constantly working in me.

When we come to God and the Bible says we are “made new,” I often picture Him refining us, making us more like Himself. I imagine Him coming into my heart, going room by room, gently rinsing away the dirty places.

But He has other plans.

His presence comes in like a waterfall.

The current is strong, yet overwhelmingly wonderful and altogether beautiful. He doesn't simply make us better. He makes us NEW.

The old has passed away; behold, the new has come.
—2 Corinthians 5:17

That's something only God can do.

So my hope is that we'll wear this waterfall as a reminder of the work He is doing in us.

Bring on the waterfall.

Make us new, Lord. In every area.
Our dreams and our grief.
Our hopes and our fears.
Our gifts and our families.
In our days and in our nights.

Wash over all of it.

Make us new.
