I know how it feels. I have felt it too. What I have found is that waiting is a decision that comes with a price. I wrote about what putting off a renovation really costs. The full story is on our website.

The best buildings give you somewhere to go. Not just a place to live, a place to belong.

Sugarmont is one of our largest projects ever, in the Sugar House neighborhood of Salt Lake City. We designed the shared spaces to carry real life. The kind you actually use on a Tuesday.

A bike shop. A maker’s studio. A demo kitchen. A pool and a real place in the sun. Each one earns its square footage. Each one gives a resident a reason to stay.

Swipe through. This is what amenity design looks like when it starts with the person, not the floor plan.

The best moment is the one clients don’t see coming.

The big pieces are in, and the room already looks done. Then the art goes up. The mirror lands where it doubles the light. The lamps warm the corners the ceiling never reaches.

This is the layer they trusted us to handle. It’s the one that turns a finished room into theirs.

We design the home and everything inside it.

Verso sits in Beaverton. So did the View-Master. Born in 1939, made in this town for decades. We made sure the project had that memory too.

We asked Portland artist Daren Todd to bring it home. It started with sketches; he produced the drawings, the red viewer everyone held as a kid. It became dozens of original works, hand-painted, no two alike, set through the amenity spaces.

Residents do not just live in Beaverton. They live in its story.

Most homes treat the entrance as an afterthought. A gate. A driveway. A door.

We treat it as the first room.

At the street, rammed earth walls and a low gate say what kind of house this is before you ever see it. Then the drive opens. A Japanese maple. A courtyard. The house reveals itself the way we drew it to.

Right now it is framing and gravel. Swipe to watch it arrive.

We think through all of it, from the moment you turn off the road to the moment you turn off the lights. This is where it starts.

Branding is not a logo. It is the first thing you see from the street and the last sign you pass on your way out.

At Verso we designed the identity, then built it into the architecture. The mark. The palette. The blade sign on the corner. The wayfinding through every corridor, down to the number on the unit door. One language, start to finish.

That is the part most people never see. The interior design and the brand that lives inside it, from one studio.

Every choice in this kitchen was made twice. Once for how it looks. Once for how it lives.

This new build centers on a chef's kitchen designed around how the couple actually cooks and gathers. The work of real cooking has its place. The room stays calm.

Full-service design means holding all of it at once. The plan. The elevations. The stone, the wood, the brass you run your hand across. Nothing left to chance. Nothing ever called perfect. Considered, and built by hand.

This is what a full-service residential studio looks like, start to finish.
