This Labor Day, let’s remember the labor that is never chosen, compensated, or even acknowledged—the suffering endured by animals used in laboratories, product testing, breeding facilities, entertainment, and other industries.
The Animal Liberation Front brought worldwide attention to animals hidden behind locked doors. But animal liberation is bigger than any one organization: it is the belief that animals are not equipment, inventory, research tools, or disposable bodies. They are living beings who value their freedom and their lives.
True scientific progress should not depend on suffering. Human-cell models, organ-on-a-chip technology, advanced computer modeling, and other animal-free research methods offer us a more compassionate path forward.
On a day dedicated to workers and the value of labor, let’s also recognize those whose bodies have been used without consent and whose suffering has been dismissed as the cost of doing business.
May our advocacy be bold, lawful, nonviolent, and impossible to ignore. Liberation means opening minds, changing systems, supporting cruelty-free innovation, and building a world where no living being is forced to suffer for someone else’s profit or progress.
No cages. No forced labor. No life treated as disposable.
Until every cage is empty. 🐾✊🌱
