Custom cast stone isn't only for big luxury homes.

We make surrounds for everyday homes, renovations, new construction, apartments, restaurants, hotels, spas and other commercial projects too.

The advantage is the same no matter where it's going: we can make the surround to the size, style and finish the project actually needs.

Sometimes that's an elaborate focal point.

Sometimes it's a simple, clean surround that finishes the fireplace beautifully.

A fireplace surround can be beautiful and still be wrong for the room.

A large wall can swallow up a surround that's too narrow. Go too heavy in a smaller room, and the fireplace can take over the whole space.

It's one reason we don't believe in forcing every fireplace into a handful of standard sizes.

We make ours to fit the fireplace AND the room around it.

We have a pretty interesting mix of homes here in the Northeast.

Historic homes with smaller rooms and traditional fireplaces sit a few miles from brand-new homes with open floor plans and large linear fireplaces.

That's why there really isn't one "Hudson Valley fireplace."

We've made surrounds that feel like they've been part of an older home for decades and others with clean lines and finishes that feel completely modern.

We make our cast stone in Poughkeepsie and work on projects throughout the Hudson Valley, Westchester and Connecticut.

And there's a LOT of variety in that relatively small area.

A fireplace in a 200-year-old Hudson Valley home has very different needs than one going into new construction in Fairfield County. Then there are apartment buildings, restaurants, hotels, spas and other commercial spaces where durability and consistency become especially important.

That's part of what makes custom cast stone so useful. We can make it work for the project instead of limiting the project to a standard product.
