My sister and I took a quick trip to LA for a friend’s wedding, and it was just what I needed. We hadn’t taken a girls trip in over 15 years, so it was very much needed

I know Pinterest boards and Instagram feeds make it feel like every moment needs to be perfectly styled, perfectly timed, perfectly captured…
/
But the weddings that actually feel the most meaningful…they’re the ones where you’re fully present in them
/
The ones where:
You’re laughing mid-ceremony because something went off script
Your bouquet isn’t “perfect” anymore because you’ve been holding it all day
Your guests are part of the moment — not just the background of it
/
Somewhere along the way, weddings started being designed for the camera instead of the couple.
/
And as a florist… I see it all the time.
Design choices made for how it will photograph instead of how it will feel.
/
But here’s the truth:
The most beautiful weddings aren’t the most curated — they’re the most intentional.

So if you’re planning your 2027 wedding, let this be your reminder:

When a new wedding/event inquiry lands in my inbox, these are the 5 things I look for:

1 - Do they have a planner?
I love working alongside Planners who help create a smooth intentional experience for everyone involved

2 - Does our budget align with my minimum?
And more importantly is their budget realistic for what their envisioning

3 - Does their design aesthetic align with mine?
I’m looking for clients who are drawn to my intentional organic design style

4 - Do they have a Photographer?
And if they don’t, I’m always happy to recommend photographers. I’ve worked with and love.

5 - Are they open to ideas?
This one is huge for me. I love when a client has a vision, but also trust me to bring my creativity and expertise to it.
