The U.S. Small Business Administration announced the availability of low-interest federal disaster loans for eligible small businesses and private nonprofit organizations impacted by drought beginning April 1.

The New River Valley Regional Commission operates a regional revolving loan fund that supports the start-up and expansion of local, small businesses.

These loans, typically in the $10,000- $25,000 range, are offered at low-interest rates for businesses to finance expansions, capital purchases, or startup costs that might not otherwise be available or to help leverage other more traditional financing options.
