And just like that... summer has officially begun! ☀️🎨

The classroom is packed up, the boxes are stacked, and another incredible school year is in the books. From art projects and GT adventures to performances, art shows, yearbooks, and countless memories, it has been a busy and rewarding year.

Now it’s time to trade the classroom for summer camps, creativity, and a little bit of sunshine. Here’s to making art, making memories, and enjoying every minute of summer break!

Laredo Kids Deserve Art This Summer 🎨
There is not much elementary art offered in many Laredo schools, and we want to help change that through creativity, imagination, and real art education.
Our summer art camps are more than just painting on a canvas. Young artists will explore a variety of art materials and techniques while learning the foundations of art in a fun, welcoming environment led by a certified art teacher.

Join our summer art camp in San Antonio and Laredo for creative activities, high-quality instruction, and fun-filled days for children of all ages.

Just finished drawing the viral Starter Pack trend, mind you I am still very rusty 🎨✨
As fun as trends are, I also love that this one got me back to simply drawing.Technology is fun, but there is still something special about slowing down and creating with your own hands. Keep doodling. Keep creating. Your sketchbook deserves some love too 🤍

Rocked my rainbow cute wear for the art show and feeling extra artsy 💛🌈✨
Then my students looked at me and said, “Ms. Roxy, are you wearing pajamas?” Humble beginnings. Humble endings. 😭😂 Featuring my partner in crime, Mrs. Feazel, keeping me in line with the giant scissors 😂✂️

Behind every art show is a whole lot of tape, ladders, late nights, overflowing tables, sore feet, and family teamwork. 😅🎨
From hanging hundreds of artworks to setting up displays, organizing 3D pieces, labeling projects, and transforming the hallways into galleries, the prep is always a labor of love. Huge thank you to my fiancée and his family who stayed late, helped carry things, hang artwork, move tables, and cheer me on through the chaos.
It may look crazy during setup, but seeing it all come together for our students makes it completely worth it. 💛✨

Our Cookie Show may be over, but I had to take a moment to appreciate this amazing FAD team. ❤️ So much of what people see on stage is only possible because of the people behind the scenes. From costumes and sets to planning, problem solving, and all of the little moments in between, this team pours so much heart into our students.
Grateful to work alongside people who support one another, create together, and somehow make the chaos fun. Thank you for all the laughs, teamwork, and for always showing up for our kids. So lucky to call this team family. 🎭🎨✨
