One thing about owning a small business… you wear all the hats.

Meet Big B***y Judy, our 15 passenger van and the real MVP of Eat Together Meals. She hauls all the people, all the supplies, and all the dreams. 💛

When I first started Eat Together Meals, I hand-delivered every single slow cooker meal kit around San Diego out of this van.

Fast forward to today, and we’re shipping our meal kits all across the Western United States. 🙌

Today’s DIY project as a San Diego small@business owner will be a memory Hubby and I will never forget. I know it seems small, but it felt like another step in our commitment to growing our business.

Judy may not be making deliveries every day anymore, but she’s definitely not retired. She still works hard for our business… and today she got a little makeover.

A little “Let’s Chat” update from our Eat Together Meals family. 💛

Here’s what’s been happening lately…

🤍 We donated meal kits to Birthline San Diego to help moms in need. Birthline of San Diego

🌊 We had the best time serving Caesar Chicken sliders at the Moms Who Kinda Surf event (they disappeared fast!). Moms Who Kinda Surf Crunchy Codie

👮 We were able to bless a local first responder family in need with a meal kit box.

📦 We’ve officially moved to a pre-order system, and next week’s orders are shipping soon!

🍽️ We’re now launching brand-new Slow Cooker and Grill & Chill menus EVERY month—more variety, more family favorites!

🎡 And next week you’ll find us at our local small-town parade and fair! If you see us, come say hi!

We’re so grateful for every order, every comment, and every family that’s chosen to let us be a small part of dinnertime.

You know what accidentally changed our family’s lives?

We started treating making memories like it belonged on our calendar… not as something we’d do “when life slowed down.”

Some of our favorite memories have been big adventures. Beach days. Fishing trips. Hiking. Exploring somewhere new.

But honestly?

Some of the memories my kids still talk about happened on completely ordinary nights.

Playing board games on the back porch until it got dark.

Eating dinner outside for no reason.

Taking a walk after dinner as a family.

Laughing around the table longer than we planned because no one wanted to get up.

Here’s what I’ve learned as a mom:

Your kids won’t remember whether the house was perfectly clean or whether dinner was scroll-worthy.

They will remember how home felt. 💛

If you’re waiting for more time, a different season, or for life to get less busy… don’t.

Start with one intentional evening this week. Put the phones away. Eat together. Play a game. Go get ice cream. Sit outside and talk.

The little moments have a funny way of becoming the big memories.

That’s the kind of childhood I want my kids to look back on. 💛 don’t you?
