🇺🇸 FROM OUR SAN DIEGO WORKSHOP TO THE SCREEN—MOSS GRILLS APPEARS IN HBO’S LANTERNS!
We have exciting news to share with our Moss Grills family: that single-barrel smoker in the ranch barbecue scene is ours!
On February 7, 2025, Moss Grills delivered a custom single-barrel grill with a rotisserie for a production operating under the name Latitude—the working title for the Green Lantern series Lanterns. Now, we’re proud to recognize our craftsmanship on screen!
In Season 1, Episode 1, “Pilot,” actor Garret Dillahunt, playing ranch owner William Macon, tends the grill while speaking with Kyle Chandler, who plays Hal Jordan, the veteran Green Lantern.
The barbecue brings Hal and fellow Green Lantern John Stewart to Macon’s ranch during their investigation. Beside our barrel smoker, an ordinary cookout becomes a tense conversation about Earth, extraterrestrial life, and the threat of invasion.
For Frederick Moss, retired U.S. Navy, Chief and founder of Moss Grills, seeing a grill built in our workshop become part of a television production is a proud milestone.
