Slow Play in the Redwoods 🌿
I’ve been thinking a lot about slowness lately. There is so much noise competing for our attention all the time, and I'm craving ways to step out of it for a while.
I’ve been craving more play too. Less rules, more freedom. More spaciousness to wallow in my imagination, follow my curiosity, and do things simply because they’re fun.
I’ve also been dreaming about unique ways to gather women around clay.
So on Saturday, September 12th, I’m creating an afternoon for a small group of women centered around nature, clay, and connection.
We’ll meet at my friend’s beautiful home in the Oakland Hills, with a redwood forest just across the street. We’ll begin by wandering through the trees, slowing down enough to notice the tiny things, follow what catches our attention, and collect a few forest treasures along the way. Then we’ll head back to the house, put the tea on, get our hands into some clay, and spend the afternoon making, talking, laughing, and playing together.
I’ll bring plenty of clay and a few simple ideas to get us started, and then it’s time to get your hands dirty. Make a little vessel, a weird creature, or a forest-inspired object. Let the clay surprise you!
🌿 Saturday, September 12 | 1–4 PM

I’ll glaze and fire whatever you make afterward so you’ll have a little piece of our time together to keep.
