Natalie Ora is a versatile Ukrainian artist based in San Francisco who explores various styles and subjects—from representational portraits, landscapes, and still life, to impressionistic and abstract motives. Today was the first day of my lease on the art studio space at on 17th st in San Francisco.🤩 It’s just a small corner in a large studio space but it’s a huge step for me - to move my art practice from my bedroom to a real art environment.

Now I need to buy a solid wooden easel, a small work desk, large canvases, and buckets of paints. If you know anyone selling a good easel, please ping me.

I am excited to make larger art, to meet new artist friends, to feel like a part of an art community. They have their own Open Studios coming up in less than a month and I’m planning to be a part of the event. So stay tuned 💖

Excited to share that I’m now a member of San Francisco Women Artists gallery ＳＦＷＡ ＡＲＴＩＳＴ ＧＡＬＬＥＲＹ! 😀 Today I visited the opening of their Abstract August show, and it did not disappoint. So much talent in one room! On view until September 4.

Grateful to be joining this welcoming community and looking forward to what’s ahead.

You probably don’t know if you should be sad or happy for me. Well, it’s complicated, so probably both. I was looking for a change for a while, because I didn’t like my full time job. But when it came so unexpectedly, I’m having a whole mix of feelings. I am excited for my new beginnings but also I couldn’t really sleep last night because of the underlying anxiety and deep distrust in the world.

The good thing, I got some severance and I can go on unemployment for a while. So, suddenly I can be a full time artist for a couple of months 🤩

I wasn’t ready for this so I will have to figure things out fast. I think of renting a studio space to do painting full-time. If you know any affordable art studio space around Cole Valley, Inner Sunset, Mission & 16th–19th St, please let me know.
