My name is Yeshe Jackson, I'm an artist based in Santa Cruz, California. My formal art education was at Humboldt State University, where I received a Bachelor's degree in studio art in 2003. My passion is for creating paintings that are so realistic that they will transport you directly to a specific place, so that you can experience being there every time you look at one. Seascapes are one of my favorite subjects at the moment, although I also love landscapes and wildlife paintings.

A huge thank you to everyone who came to my studio for the Santa Cruz Open Studios Tour! It was a great time as usual, with lots of fun conversations about art and life, and lots of laughs!

Thank you to everyone on the Santa Cruz Arts Council, MK Contemporary Art Gallery, and at the Santa Cruz Art League for all that you do to put on this amazing event.

And of course an extra big thank you to all of my collectors! Without you I would not be able to continue along this journey to become the best artist I can be! I appreciate all of you so much ❤️🥰❤️

I can’t get enough of these big waves lately! There’s so much fun to be had capturing all of the colors, textures, and movement 🌊😍!

Seacliff Stories,

One of the most iconic places along the shore of the Monterey Bay is Seacliff State Beach in Santa Cruz. Until just a few years ago, the silhouette of the SS Palo Alto rested there at the end of a long pier. Severe storms broke the ship into pieces and destroyed the pier, but the memories remain in the minds of many people, myself included.
