Before and Wow!
Seattle's floating home community is something special. There's a way of living on the water that's hard to explain until you've seen it up close — and this project was a good reminder of why we love getting to be part of it.
This was primarily a main floor refresh built around one idea: get the storage out of the way so the water view can be the main event.
The kitchen got a full remodel — cherry cabinetry swapped out for painted shaker, the original soapstone counters kept, a stainless farmhouse sink, and shiplap walls that feel right at home on the water. The French doors came out in favor of folding glass that opens the living room straight to the dock. New fireplace surround, built-in shelving, a wine fridge. The bones of the house, those original fir beams, stayed right where they were.
Some things were worth keeping. Some things were ready for something new. That's usually how the best projects go.
If you've been thinking about a refresh of your own, we'd love to hear about it. DM us anytime.
