Tile Collective

Tile Collective A well edited collection of tile, stone, + slabs for a boutique shopping experience.

This tile carries so much more once it is installed.

The variation becomes deeper, the texture starts catching light differently, and the layout gives the material a rhythm you cannot fully see on a sample board. What felt beautiful in hand suddenly feels immersive in the space.

That is why we are always thinking about tile at scale. The grout, the direction, the spacing, and the movement all shape how the material ultimately reads.

Some materials are simply meant to be experienced in context.

When tile and wallpaper are in conversation, the space feels layered from the start.

We paired our materials with Eskayel’s Nicoyán Collection, where each pattern is rooted in observation and memory. Inspired by the flora of Costa Rica, the collection translates natural moments into painterly compositions that feel both expressive and grounded.

This is where pairing becomes intentional. Tile provides the foundation, while wallpaper introduces motion, story, and atmosphere.

Together, they create something that feels complete.

Which combination would you bring into your space?

This is why we love getting out to the site.

In the studio, we are looking at samples, palettes, and individual decisions. On site, you get to see how those decisions actually relate to each other. The flooring starts talking to the slabs. The pool finish connects to the spa. The bathroom materials feel intentional because they are part of a larger story.

This project gave us the chance to see so many of our selections in one place, and it was a reminder that great spaces are rarely about one material. They are about how every material works together.

The tile, the stone, the scale, the transitions, the details.

That is what we are always designing for.

One decision turns into ten very quickly around here.

You start with one tile, then suddenly you’re talking about contrast, texture, grout color, shape, scale, and whether the whole thing should lean warm or cool. Every choice builds on the one before it, which is what makes palette building so fun to watch unfold.

The best palettes usually do not happen all at once. They come together piece by piece until everything finally clicks.

And honestly… that moment never gets old.

Meet Carly, our newest project coordinator.

She has already stepped right into the flow of the studio, helping keep projects organized, timelines on track, and all the small details accounted for behind the scenes.

We’re so excited to have her as part of the team and can’t wait for you to get to know her.

Welcome to Tile Collective, Carly. 🤍

Life at Tile Collective is full in the best way.

Busy days, constant movement, projects coming together, and a team that genuinely enjoys being in it together. It’s a mix of problem solving, creativity, and a lot of shared moments in between.

The work matters, but the people are what make it feel fun.

Wouldn’t have it any other way.

We look at how the materials will behave in real light, how the tones shift throughout the day, how the texture changes the feeling of the space, and whether everything will still feel balanced once it is installed alongside cabinetry, stone, plumbing, and paint.

That is the difference between pairing materials and building a palette.

At Tile Collective, we are not just pulling samples that match. We are thinking through scale, finish, variation, grout, layout, and how every piece contributes to the final experience of the room.

Because the best spaces do not happen by accident. They happen when every decision is considered in context.

Tile never lives the way it looks in your hand.

This is why we always think beyond the piece itself. The same tile can feel calm or bold, refined or busy, depending on how it is installed and what surrounds it.

Understanding that difference is what separates a good result from one that truly feels considered.

If you are choosing tile, make sure you are looking at the full picture, not just the sample.

A well-designed cash wrap does more than serve a function. It sets the tone for the entire space.

We loved collaborating with on this project and helping bring their vision to life through material and detail. The tile adds texture, warmth, and structure in a way that feels intentional from the moment you walk in.

Projects like this are a reminder that even the most functional spaces deserve thoughtful design.

Check it out in the Encinitas location. 🤍

Checkerboard, zellige, limestone, terracotta, dramatic, quiet, tonal, bold… we could keep going.

At this point, the hardest part is not finding something good. It is narrowing it down.

Good thing that is what we are here for.
