I’ve been wanting to tackle this project for a long time and finally made it happen. My folks built an open cabinet for the sink in this bathroom and I just hated seeing the plumbing, cleaning supplies and extra TP. I found these curtain panels thrifting and went to work this week. Although it’s not my favorite fabric I like the way it turned out so I’m definitely going to keep looking for the perfect fabric and recreate when I find them. For now, no more looking at the yuck so yay for that! ❤️

A little repurposing project this week! My Dad bought this iron table maybe 15 years or so back as a project and never got around to making a top for it. Yesterday (tired of looking at it) I flipped it upside down and set this iron cauldron in the center. I think it looks pretty cool as a planter stand…..what do you think?
Note: The vinca vine is in a little bit of transplant shock but expected to make a full recovery. 😉

Well, my little challis project is on hold for a bit but I did manage to get this concrete bird bath repair accomplished and I’m feeling pretty damn good about it!!! I’m working on how to link the products I used to share with you guys but I’m old and I’m still learning 🤓 so you’ll have to bear with me for a little while. ❤️
Just a note I could’ve opted to just fill the cracks once I had it glued back together but I wanted it to all look the same so I went over the entire piece with the patch so it didn’t appear repaired. I put the patch on with a trowel and smoothed the outer scalloped edges with my hand and then took the back of a large cooking spoon dipped in water to smooth out the inside.
I think it turned out pretty great…..And hey, I learned something new all because my dog tipped it over and broke it while drinking out of it!!!! 🙄😂❤️

Yall, check out my amazing curb find today!! Very old mortise and tenon constructed settee. Probably mid to late 1800’s and probably originally stuffed with horsehair although it appears that’s been updated with foam. Going to see if I can talk my Dad into helping me repair the leg and then I’ll work a little restoration on the wood and update the upholstery. Super rare find and I’m totally excited about it! Will share updates on this project as I go!! ❤️

Don’t you just love some cast iron? Especially cast iron candlesticks?! I found these beauties last week and gave them a little glow up. I cleaned them up removing the rust and chipping paint, then primed and painted them in Rustoleum’s Smoky Beige, and sealed with a satin clear acrylic to protect. Dropping these with measurements and pricing in the group here momentarily.
