This custom home in Tahoe Donner is a refined example of traditional mountain aesthetic utilizing traditional patterns and cozy textures married with painted + character grade woods and natural materials.

Alpine Summit Cabin — our Scandinavian Modern retreat featured in Mountain Living Magazine.

Set on Donner Summit and designed with both resilience and restraint in mind, this home embraces its surroundings at every turn. Blue Pine sourced directly from the site was milled and reintroduced throughout the interiors, creating a warm, grounded palette that reflects the landscape itself.

Clean lines, steel accents, and a striking three-story feature wall balance simplicity with impact - proving that thoughtful design, sustainability, and budget-conscious building can coexist beautifully.

An approach rooted in honoring both legacy and landscape, resulting in a space that feels as intentional as it is serene.

Lovingly referred to as the “Jewel Box” - a home bar designed to do it all - without taking up the whole room.

Rich navy cabinetry, a Lake Tahoe–inspired blue backsplash, and warm lighting set the tone, while gold hardware and polished glassware add just the right amount of shine.

Thoughtfully designed, strategically compact, fully stocked, and always ready for a good gathering.
