This stunning necklace features a replica of the Scythian gold stag pendant from the 6th century BCE housed in the Hermitage Museum in St. Petersburg, Russia. This magnificent stag features an impressive eight-point rack of stylized antlers that extends along the length of its torso. The stag's legs are tucked beneath its body, and its musculature is well-defined, suggesting that the animal is in mid-sprint. The original pendant was part of "The Golden Deer of Eurasia: Scythian and Sarmatian Treasures from the Russian Steppes" exhibition held at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in October 2000 - February 2001. This fabulous gold-tone copy has recently been strung as a necklace with black and white lava stone and gold-tone spacers.

Dimensions: Pendant width: 2 1/2 inches (6.35 cm). Necklace length: 24 inches (61 cm), Drop length: 13 1/2 inches (34.3 cm)

Condition: The pendant is intact and in excellent vintage condition overall.
