Hi over there! Today, I'm sharing something special... 😊
Would you kindly vote for my "Getting My Pink Back" Spring Concept for the One Kings Lane design competition?

This spring just so happens to be (My Spring).
For the last few months, I've been working on "getting my pink back", as Lindsey Gurk would say. Year over year, it's been job changes, moving, toddlers, pandemic, health questions, family chaos and of course, the kind of current events that take your breath away.
Last Spring, I felt like I took my first breath in years. My time, once totally occupied by diapers and pumping - shrouded in isolation - was finally beginning to shift. Suddenly, I had a few extra moments each morning to think, a few friends who would call to check in, and a pinch of mental energy that allowed me think beautiful, splendid, not-at-all practical thoughts. I knew the tectonic plates of motherhood were moving, so I made it a point to consider where I hoped they'd land. Then, I started to slowly move in that direction. Toward health. Toward courage. Toward community. Toward the future I hoped for.
As many of you know, when things fall asleep, they take some time to wake... And, that brings me back to This Spring. Despite the weight of too much heartbreaking news, and so many things that call out for our attention, I'm now plugged into the most inspiring web of wonderful Minneapolis women. They work and do all of the regular stuff, but are committed to goodness, compassion, generosity, courage, joy, and the like. As I move through the world, they are what I notice; women and children, always the first thing I notice. Such a vibrant force, stepping into each day and I am standing with them. It's Our Spring and we have a wonderful world to create.
Love,
Bethany
