Great design starts with listening. Our lead designer, Melanie takes the time to understand what you love and sees how you actually live and move throughout your home, so every decision fits your lifestyle.

Hear from our homeowners on building with Novel.

100 went home.

When we kicked off this campaign on Sept 18, our goal was to help 100 animals get adopted.

As of today, we did just that.

100 pets are now in new homes across the valley, each with $100 from Novel Design and Build toward their adoption fee.

A special thank you to our shelter partners for making this happen!

And a HUGE thank you to every family who opened their home to one of these 100 pets.

The election is over. The shelters are still open. If you’re thinking about adding a pet to your family, start with one of these four!

CATS Cradle Shelter
Homeward Animal Shelter
Turtle Mountain Animal Rescue
4 Luv of Dog Rescue

That’s a wrap on the first ever Red River Valley Pet Election! Please welcome Tater Tot, as your 2026 Red River Valley Pet Mayor!

A special thank you to Fargo Mayor Josh Boschee for officially swearing Tater Tot into office!

Thank you to everyone who came out to vote, and to Red River Market and Folkways for all their support at the market.

Every vote helped make a difference. Over 70 pets were adopted into great homes through this year’s election, thanks to our partner shelters:

Turtle Mountain Animal Rescue
4 Luv of Dog Rescue
Homeward Animal Shelter
CATS Cradle Shelter

Until next year!

The last full day of voting.

Tomorrow the polls close at 8:00 pm and I close the book. Today is a fresh ballot, as every day has been. One vote per person, every day. Free.

As Commissioner, I must insist you vote.

There will be no recount. There will be a nap.
