It was a special day at MHID today. My dear college friend - and one of my Studio Girls - was in the Fargo area today. She is doing college visits with her daughter and her daughter’s friend and they were interested in learning more about interior design. How fun to think we were college girls together and now our kids are getting to be that age. 🥹❤️

Tuesday Transformation!
These wonderful clients bought this home and knew the lower level bar area had great potential but needed a new layout. With the help of our friends at Stone Ridge Builders, we relocated the sink and gave them a little more space inside the bar. We kept the cabinets around the fridge so I had to figure out where they came from and match the rest. The clients wanted everything to feel more open and have open shelving. We also wanted an overall glamorous and dramatic look. I think we nailed it! 💙

Throwback to last weekend when I was in Chicago helping my son get settled in his new apartment in his new city! This apartment building was built in 1926 as a boutique hotel. It is wonderfully maintained and has so much charm! Located in uptown, it is a quick 10 minute walk to the beach. Have a wonderful weekend! 🤗

Hi friends. I recently took a little break from social media. After he fought a courageous battle with cancer, I lost my big brother Mike a few weeks ago. My husband and I had returned home from our 30th anniversary trip and I was so excited to share the pictures with you. But not long after we got back, my brother took a turn for the worse. It was hard for me to post anything, let alone with excitement - I had to muster up some faux enthusiasm. I had had a friend and then a former client ask when I would post more pictures from our trip - they were so excited to see more. I’ll be honest, I forget that people see my posts and didn’t think anyone would notice my inconsistency. So I took a little break. Last week was my first full week back at work. It feels good to go back to “normal” though normal will never feel the same again…
Fun story, in 2022, I had just moved into my new design studio in the Northern Lights building. One day I heard a knock on my interior door - strange because my exterior door is where clients enter. I opened the door and it was my big brother! He was in town for some work meetings and decided to surprise me. I played hooky for a few hours and we enjoyed a long lunch and later that evening he joined my family for dinner. The picture attached is from our lunch that day. ❤️
I’m going to continue sharing on days when I feel up to it. I have more trip pictures to share and project pictures to share. I have several work events coming up and look forward to seeing work colleagues. I do thank all of you who follow this page, read my posts and support my business. I appreciate it more than you know.
