Funerals have a way of cutting through the noise and reminding you what actually matters.

Tomorrow is never promised. Stop waiting for the perfect moment, the perfect conditions, for the stars to align.

Don’t delay your joy.

In the work I do with clients, I hear it constantly “someday.” Saving the good stuff for a rainy day.

But that day may never come.

So use the nice plates. Wear the outfit you’re saving. Take the trip. Say the thing you have been meaning to.

Live for today.

He wanted New York Knicks 🏀 everything!

The logos, the orange and blue, the whole nine.

But I draw the line at cheesy!

This is the type of rug that fits lots of design styles, so I knew it’d balance out all the orange and grow up right alongside him. The Knicks aren’t going anywhere and neither is this rug.

These are my girls.

Here’s the thing nobody tells you. You can meet your people in midlife. Some of my closest friends are women I’ve met since becoming a mom. Some are also women that I’ve known since childhood, college and my professional life.

I’ve also lost a few people I was sure I’d have forever. That part’s sad, but it’s ok too. I wish them nothing but the best and I mean it.

When life is pulling you in nine directions, canceling is always the easy button.

Don’t hit it. Make the plan. Make the effort.

I’m sure you’ve heard the phrase:

Everyone wants a village but nobody wants to actually be a villager.

It’s absolutely true!

We make room for the stuff that’s just ours. Not the kids’. Ours.

We gossip about the husbands and the jobs and the children, sure. But we also go to dinner, take the long walk, cheer each other on, and most importantly we always end up on the dance floor.

Knicks in 5! 🏀

I don’t know about you but the collective joy from this Knicks run is restoring my faith in humanity.

Strangers high-fiving on the street, the group chats lighting up at the same second, my whole feed pulling for the same thing at the same time.

There’s something about a whole city wanting one good thing together that just hits different.

Being genuinely happy for other people’s happiness is my cheat code to life.

And I mean the real kind, not the “so happy for you” while you’re quietly keeping score. The kind where someone else winning actually fills you up too.

The happier I am for others, the happier my own life becomes.

Every single time.

Who else is fully in it?

Real talk: these flowers lived in their plastic trays on my deck for three weeks before I actually got them in the ground.

Three weeks. Because I’ve been so busy. Because I kept telling myself I’d do it when I had the time, when the conditions felt right.

And then I heard myself and laughed, because this is the exact thing I tell my clients all the time. The right conditions are not coming. There is no perfect window.

You’re not waiting for the moment, you’re just waiting. So I finally stopped waiting and just did it. Glad I took my own advice!

Backyard reveal is coming. A few more touches and this whole space is ready for summer.

Knicks in 5!

I designed this room while my son was at sleepaway camp last summer. Three days, start to finish. One of my best projects yet 😜. When he came home he was mindblown. He could not believe me and his dad pulled this off in 3 days.

he has been dreaming of this moment since the season started. Please don’t let him down.
