When did half-assing everything become socially acceptable? Because I swear to God, it’s like nobody gives a s**t about doing anything properly anymore. 🤣
I’ve been in the interior design industry for 25 years, and one thing I’ve noticed is how much attention to detail has gone out the fu***ng window. The craftsmanship, the quality, the pride in actually doing a good job. Everything is about getting it done faster, making more money, and moving on to the next thing.
And it’s not just interior design. It’s EVERYTHING. Customer service, construction, products, restaurants. You name it. It’s like we’ve collectively decided that “good enough” is the new gold standard.
And I’m sorry, but good enough isn’t always good enough.
The details matter. They always have. They’re what separate something that’s just fine from something that’s fu***ng fabulous.
Maybe it’s the Gen X in me, but I remember when people actually took pride in their work. When doing something right mattered more than just getting it off your plate.
And with AI making everything faster, I can’t help but wonder how much worse this is going to get.
Please tell me I’m not the only one noticing this s**t. Or have I officially reached the age where I start yelling at clouds and telling people how things were better back in my day? 😂
