✨ More Than Just Light: The Story of 10,000 Beads That Change Lives. ✨

We are thrilled to showcase a key feature from our latest Val de Vie project: a custom 'Waterfall' chandelier, magnificent in size and purpose, designed in collaboration with the incredible artisans .handmade.story

This stunning piece contains approximately 10,000 hand-rolled clay beads, each one carrying a deep South African narrative. Since 2009, The Handmade Story has championed ethical production, choosing to work only with handmade, eco-friendly clay (never mass-produced plastic!) and creating vital employment for hundreds of women and men in the Drakensburg communities of KZN. These beads don't just decorate—they change lives!

The process was a labour of love, from our clear vision to their meticulous, UL-certified craftsmanship. The clean, natural flow of the beads perfectly captures the South African summer aesthetic. ☀️
