Some bathrooms are quiet retreats. This one makes a statement.

Gold geometric wallpaper, a statement portrait and a copper-toned tub, finished with a crystal chandelier overhead. Proof that even the smallest room can carry real personality. Drawn to a bold bathroom of your own? Let us design one.

Another magnificent home on the Gold Coast, now officially handed over to a beautiful family. 🤍

Every handover is special, but there's something about watching a family step into a home designed just for them that never gets old.

OLALA was proudly represented by our girl power team on the day, with our photographer Nic Baletto capturing every beautiful moment.

Welcome home. With love, from OLALA INTERIORS.

A thought for the week: design should feel like an exhale, not an announcement.

The residences we love most are the quiet ones, confident enough not to shout.

The way furniture is placed can open a room up or close it down entirely. Considered sightlines and correctly scaled pieces make even a compact residence feel unhurried.

The final part of our small space series, getting flow and scale right.

Heritage Day reminds us how much of a residence's character comes from what's local, a handcrafted piece, a material sourced close to home, a story passed down.

We are grateful to work with skilled local makers on every project we design. Happy Heritage Day from all of us at OLALA.

A thought for the week: you've worked hard for this. Your home should be where you finally get to enjoy it.

We design spaces that reflect what you've built, so every room feels like it was worth the effort.

Project Spotlight: A Residence on the North Coast, KwaZulu-Natal

Warmth runs through every room in this home, travertine stone walls, rich timber veneer joinery and leather furnishings creating a palette that feels grounded rather than staged. A floating staircase anchors the living space, while a hanging bubble chair and sculptural round coffee table bring a playful, considered contrast against the natural stone backdrop.

Double-volume glazing floods the kitchen with light, and the outdoor dining deck, styled with Panton chairs against a reclaimed timber table, extends the living space out into the evening.

A true team effort from start to finish.

Storage should disappear into the design, not dominate it. Built-in joinery, furniture with hidden depth, considered use of vertical space.

Part three of our small space series is all about storage that stays out of sight.

Sourcing is where a lot of the OLALA magic happens, and most of it is invisible in the final photograph.

From local artisans to specialist suppliers, every piece in a finished residence has a story behind how it got there.
