The winning design is officially on its way to India! 🇮🇳✨17.08.26

Today, Pedro, owner of Zoya, personally took the winning CAD to India to begin production. Which has a lead time of 10-12 weeks as it’s all handcrafted. Then it also needs to be shipped to us in Cape Town 🤩

We’re now counting down to NOVEMBER for a very special awards ceremony at the Zoya Studio in Claremont, where the entire Design Time School will join us, with our Top 10 finalists there for the ultimate reveal…

And the best part? The winning student gets to take their rug home as part of their prize. 🤍🤗💫

OKHA Design Studio in collaboration with respected fabricator, Zoya Rugs has released a collection of abstract, geometric rugs influenced by traditional African Tribal Arts.

THE STONE COLLECTION features six different designs in numerous colourways and is woven using a blended twine of bamboo silk and Himalayan wool.

The rugs are a contemporary exploration of a creative heritage that is evident in many genres of African artistic expression; sculpture, carving, beadwork, body adornment.
