Open Studios Fish Hoek/Clovelly is about a month away and we’re in full prep vibes! We’re getting excited to welcome you in to the studio again this year!

We’ll have a limited range of hooped works for sale, various sizes, some hand painted and stitched, some printed and stitched, all unique and one of a kind!

If you don’t want to miss out, book your tickets for the Preview day on Friday 9 Oct 2026. Tickets on Quicket, R150 each, all proceeds go to the Project Flamingo which is fabulous!!!

Meet the Artists: threads that bind us

South African sisters Emma and Leila Rowett are the creative duo behind threads that bind us, a collection of handmade home décor inspired by the natural beauty of the Cape.

Their designs are a drawing with thread using free-motion embroidery. Because each piece is created freehand, no two are exactly alike.

Their work features protea, fynbos, landscapes and the occasional figure across a range of timeless soft furnishings. They also create bespoke embroidered pieces, proving that if they can draw it, they can stitch it.
