The Pacha Lounge Chair by Pierre Paulin for GUBI. First designed in 1975 — and it still looks as contemporary today as it did then.
Paulin pioneered low-level living; this idea of getting rid of chair legs and letting furniture actually serve the body. The Pacha does exactly that. The proportions, the inward stitching lines, the way it wraps around you — every detail is considered.
The version I keep coming back to in my projects is the swivel. If you know my work, you know I love a dynamic swivel chair. It takes you from the lounge room to the dining room, from inside to out — and when it hugs your body and looks as incredible as this, it becomes the hardworking hero of the entire space.

The Australian artist behind OBJECTS OF VIRTUE, David creates extraordinary hand-built pieces inspired by the natural textures and forms of the NSW South Coast. Each vessel is a work of art, carrying the unmistakable marks of his hands and his deep connection to nature.
