It may not be a huge harvest but it's a huge achievement for me! This little handful of snow peas 🫛 is the first time my AuDHD self has had sufficient systems and mechanisms in place to get a sensitive crop like snowpeas all the way from planting to harvest.

Is it a massive harvest? Nope. But is it proof that diagnosis is the key to understand how my brain works so I can operate in the way that works for me instead of wasting energy beating myself up for not being able to do what other people seem to do so easily. Yep!

Is it going to cut the cost of groceries? Not yet. But is it proving that sticking with difficult projects and continuing to try new solutions are worth the time and effort? Absolutesly. Especially when it feels like you've tried and failed at everything.

Is this a measure of success? Absolutely! Success looks different for everyone. For me, the success achieved with the most basic skill (keeping it alive) now allows me to keep a successful system in place while working on the next step towards compounding success- techniques to increase yield.

One person's handful of Snowpeas is another's Mt Everest. Success looks different for everyone, and even for the same person at different phases of their life. But the steps are the same:
1) master a step
2) set another goal
3) repeat.

"Failure" is just having the courage to recognize the benefit of restarting step 1. Keep replanting your Snowpeas. Keep striking out. Keep playing the wrong note. Keep toppling over without training wheels. Dare to suck... because one day, you won't! And that day will be as sweet as these Snowpeas!

What looks like a handful of Snowpeas is evidence that my neurodivergent self can take into other facets of life. What parts of this success can I replicate in business? How can I used the same techniques in life admin? What skills have I gained that are transferable transferable to relationships, planning and task completion systems?

I see you. I see your Snowpeas. I'm proud of you.

Used my left over browned butter solids from making a few litres of Ghee to make Prosciutto Tortalini with Brown Butter Sage Sauce and Pumpkin Seed Garlic Bread.... yummy. The immediate request upon Mr Mixer's first mouthful was "Yes please. Please make again."
