This week’s Walk & Talk with Carlisle Eden Mind is moved to next Tuesday (10th) as we say goodbye to a dear friend & colleague - Jules, who will be forever be in our thoughts ♥️

Yesterday we moved tables in the cafe, today we moved the shop!

This stunning table - will be our drop in craft table (see “comments” for more details) until it finds a new home. Our “farm shop” of hub made & local produce is growing - alongside the Eden Valley Meat Company’s Bacon and smoked chicken, Bean & Dunne Coffee, Brougham Hall pottery, wooden boards, we have our own chutney, jam & chocolate!

Today our Men’s Cafe had to work for their lunch.

We made sausages using minced pork shoulder from N&J Dowding Ltd and two sausage mixes from WeschenfelderCumberland & old English. They were delicious and there were some left to take home.

I had been promising to make scones so Stu & Gary made a batch of cheese & thyme which we had for lunch

Yesterday’s Thoughtful Tuesday was the creative, chatty cafe with an optional walk with our friends from Carlisle Eden Mind - Amy chose the activity which was dream catchers.
Another Amy, Health & Wellbeing Coach from Westmorland and Furness Council popped in as did George who is going to be running our choir. This will be funded as part of our Connecting Appleby Programme funded by the The National Lottery Community Fund - it will take place weekly on a Friday starting next week at The Supper Room 1-2pm at the end of Renew Wellbeing.

While some were out walking George and four ladies sang - I think this is going to be something special- see comments to hear the clip.
