Today’s Thoughtful Tuesday was for parents & carers of SEN children but as we missed Walk & Talk last week Carlisle Eden Mind joined us.

It was a joyous group and we collaged, played doms, stitched, coloured, chatted - MIND’s Courtney, Amy & Caroline were able to offer one-to-one chats, help with form filling, and then we all enjoyed a light lunch.

Next Tuesday is for all Carers 10-2pm - where there will be help for dementia carers from Dr Lianne Parrett, Community Development Officer Westmorland and Furness Council and N-compass who took over the contract from Eden Carers.

This is a long one but please share with anyone you think might like to come. Thanks to those that came today - a few new faces and some lovely returning ones.

What we did, so if you want to come next time you know!

There’s no questions or forms to fill in, you can engage or sit alone for some quiet time and read a paper or book, Jane looks after you with drinks
We invite guests to join us and this week it was Claire from Westmorland and Furness Libraries who you could chat to & learn how to access free papers, audio books & magazines by using your library card and Dropbox.
Chris from J&C Crafts came and brought his tools and our gents could get up and make a plant support or key ring if they wanted - some made two!
We helped Robert mend a hole in his jacket - we can help with a multitude of problems- just ask.
Lunch is served around 12 and we all eat together.
It’s drop in so get here when you want and leave when you need to.

Next men’s cafe is June 23rd 10-2pm and Malcolm from North Pennines National Landscape will be here to make swift boxes and Bill and friends from the Donut Club are here to answer any questions regarding prostrate problems & to increase awareness.

Our scheduled cafe with Walk & Talk and Carlisle Eden Mind will be the second Tuesday of June joining up with our SEN group as we are closed next week.
