A little piece of functional art, and a rather beautiful home for your most treasured jewellery.

Recently added to our website, this exceptional jewellery box has been handcrafted by Jonathon Vaiksaar in his Wirral workshop, using individually grown English Burr Elm.

The natural character and movement of the timber do all the talking, making every box entirely individual.

Inside, a beautifully made cedar tray is lined with cotton suede, complemented by polished stainless steel hinges, also made in the UK.

We love the way this piece brings together a rare British material, thoughtful design and exceptional craftsmanship. More than somewhere to keep your jewellery, it is a small piece of furniture to be enjoyed and treasured for generations.

One of the companies we admired at Decorex International | Europe’s Luxury Interior Design Show ✨

English manufacturer Armac Martin has metal beautifully covered, from handles and cabinet hardware to shelving brackets and more.

Their new Sketch collection really caught our eye.

Contemporary, characterful and full of lovely detail, it’s a fabulous example of how the smallest details can make such a difference to an interior.

One of the wonderful things about exhibiting at a big interiors show like Decorex International | Europe’s Luxury Interior Design Show is the opportunity to bring our makers’ pieces together, showcasing them side by side in a way that really celebrates the breadth and brilliance of British design.

Every piece here has been made by a British artisan, and we feel incredibly privileged to represent them.

Focussing on the furniture, from back to front…

A gorgeous table by Iluka London made especially for our stand at Decorex. A very special (and useful!) addition.

Jacky Puzey Embroidery’s sumptuous leopard footstool, making its debut with us at the show, and Beuzeval furniture’s fabulous shelving unit - a wonderfully versatile and reliable piece that has accompanied us to events for years.

Isn’t it fabulous to see these pieces together?

Three British makers, each with a different journey into the industry and their own distinctive skills, yet all producing work at the very top of their game.

We will share some of our Decorex International | Europe’s Luxury Interior Design Show highlights over the coming days but for now we are just enjoying processing every wonderful conversation we had, every person we met and the joy of being completely immersed in a crowd of like minded souls.

This beautiful Cocovara Lighting wall light will be illuminating our stand at Decorex International | Europe’s Luxury Interior Design Show.

Meet Ronnie, named after a much-loved horse who was especially dear to Cocovara’s founder, Lucy Powles.

Handcrafted in London from polished bronze, Ronnie combines a softly tailored half-shade with an elegant polished brass snaffle, bringing a refined equestrian touch to the home.

Available in long and short versions, with bespoke finishes and international wiring also possible.

We can’t wait to show Ronnie off, lighting up Stand G33.

Another piece joining us on Stand G33 at Decorex International | Europe’s Luxury Interior Design Show.

Hand-crafted in London by Beuzeval furniture of Beuzeval Furniture, ‘Folding’ is a clever, multifunctional shelving unit inspired by the classic wooden clothes horse.

Designed to fold away in seconds, it can be used for hanging, shelving or both.

We love its versatility and how easily it can be used to display and complement pieces from our other makers.

We’re so delighted to be delivering a Frail Shelter sculpture, by Northern Irish artist Joy Gray to a customer in London.

Handcrafted in fine wire, each tree is individually shaped, with subtle variations in tone created through gently rusted and almost-black wire.

Tucked high among the branches is a tiny nest in fine gold-plated wire - a beautiful detail that captures the inspiration behind the piece; a delicate nest held safely by a gathering of slender trees, each supporting the other.

Mounted on five individual oak plinths, the trees can be arranged in different ways to create your own little forest.

A beautiful piece of British craft, and one we’re particularly pleased to see find its new home.

Coming to Decorex International | Europe’s Luxury Interior Design Show with us: the Wu Bench by Namon Gaston.

Designed and made in his Edinburgh workshop, Wu is a beautifully considered piece of furniture, reduced to the essentials of timber, form and function.

Smooth steam-bent oak supports meet a vegetable-tanned bark leather seat, designed to develop a rich patina with age.

Awarded a prize at the Wood Awards, it’s a bench made to be lived with.

At Decorex, it will have a rather important job: somewhere to sit, pause and converse with us on Stand G33.

One of our old faithfuls is coming with us to Decorex International | Europe’s Luxury Interior Design Show.

These beautiful Raku hares by .ceramics have been firm favourites with visitors whenever we take them to an event, and it’s not hard to see why.

Hand built and fired in Buckinghamshire using the ancient Raku technique, each hare is completely unique, with its own beautifully unpredictable crackle pattern.

Available sitting or lying, with or without gilding, they’re the kind of pieces that bring character, charm and a little personality to a room.

We can’t wait to see these familiar favourites back on an AUTHOR stand at Decorex.
