19th century walnut cased campaign kit mirror
The case opens to a rectangular mirror with cross grain moulded frame. The frame folding out to form an easel, which is adjustable to four positions and closes to protect the looking glass when in transit.
English, circa 1850-1890

Folding campaign mirrors, used by the military when in the field for shaving and generally keeping up appearances, the fold flat to make them portable.

H: 17" (43cm), W: 13" (33cm), D: 17" (43cm).

A French pine painted cabinet
The central panelled cupboard flanked by two banks of 4 drawers, the cupboard opens to two small internal drawers. With original lock and key.
French, circa 1850-1880

In the original aged paint, the cupboard opens on ‘Parliament’ hinges, to allow the door to open fully over the drawer k***s, internally to the right of the cupboard is a wooden locking catch that locks all four of the drawers via a notch in the drawer, so when the cupboard is locked with the key the drawers are also locked, sadly the mechanism on the left is missing.

A three-tiered collapsable towel rail
With uprights secured by four brass bolts to trestle feet. Designed to be dismantled and used as part of an officer's travelling kit.

A Georgian mahogany plate display stand and a delft bowl
The stand with weighted base of box form, the shaped supports allow for plates to sit in three positions depending on size. After a design by Gillows of Lancaster.
English, circa 1800.

A set of kitchen utensils hanging on a wrought iron rack with hooks. The utensils copper with steel handles.
French, circa 1830-1880

Early 20th century elm stool, or side table, the top a figured elm board, adzed to the sides. Stands upon square tapered legs united by stretchers of H form. Note the construction of the leg tenon, the square leg is fitted into a round tenon joint through the top and pegged, this makes for both a visually appealing and strong joint.

H: 20" (51cm), W: 19.5" (49.5cm), D: 14.5" (37cm).
