I'm very grateful to Alex for this lovely article!

This is the second mobile I've made based on the idea of Dryads. These are mythical creatures - wood nymphs and as I imagine it they are dancing among the leaves.

Looking forward to welcoming people to my studio. I'm working on some new pieces, there'll be lots to see!

Studio 47 - Jay Rubinstein creates mobiles inspired by poems, songs, or fragments of folklore — a line of verse, a fleeting image, or a remembered rhythm. Translating these ideas into three-dimensional form, gives each work a sense of narrative depth that unfolds through motion. As the viewer moves around the piece, new relationships appear between its elements: shapes align and separate, shadows overlap, and meanings shift.

You'll find his studio in Dundrennan, on our Spring Fling Pink Route.
