It's been a busy day- we've sold 5 bird tables today! Thank you to everyone who stopped by. Our display area has now been restocked, so there's plenty more ready to go.

A gate we fitted last week, and one we really enjoyed working on.

This one’s a bit special as it includes a hedgehog hole, allowing wildlife to move safely between gardens 🦔

The customer wanted the gate to have a hedgehog hole, to open forwards and to be a specific height, so we measured everything up carefully before making it.

The fit was a little more challenging than usual, as the posts needed shaping to suit a house and wall that were slightly out of square — something we often see with older properties.

As always, it was made to the exact size needed and measured and fitted by Country Rustics. It’s always satisfying when everything comes together just right.

All gates are made to size, whether from your measurements or ours. Not confident measuring? We offer a professional measure-up service, and there’s also a measuring guide on our website if you’d like to do it yourself.

A few people are surprised to find out that we don’t just make bird tables 🐦

Bird tables are just one part of what we do — we also craft bespoke wooden gates, made to measure for each opening. Our bespoke size gates however, don't have the high price tag found with other suppliers.

We can also offer a measure-up and fitting service, which takes the stress out of getting it right (especially with older or uneven openings).

If you’re thinking about a new gate this year, feel free to message us for a chat — we’re always happy to offer advice, even if you’re just exploring options.
