Lush green stripes as far as the eye can see! 👀

Want your lawn looking like this?

Here are our top tips:

🌱 Keep your lawn healthy and thick
✂️ Use a mower with a roller
📏 Don’t cut the grass too short
↔️ Change your mowing direction from time to time

And for those really crisp stripes, mow in straight lines and overlap each pass slightly. 👌

Happy Halloween! 🎃

Keep an eye out for spooky signs of the notorious lawn ghouls, leatherjackets…

• Soil disturbed by wildlife searching for a snack. 🐦

• Grass that pulls up easily due to damaged roots. 🌱

• Visible grey larvae. This is a sure sign you have an infestation. They will be 2-4 cm long at this time of year, and you may notice them inside your turf or crawling across paved areas. 🔍

⬇️ If you suspect you may have these lawn invaders staying in your garden, get in touch with us for a free lawn analysis before they start working their way through your roots.

After such a dry summer, you might already be thinking about how to keep your garden going if we get another one next year. 🌱

One simple thing you can do now is start harvesting rainwater. 💧

Autumn and winter are a great time to get a water butt set up, giving you months to collect water before the warmer weather arrives.

And you might be surprised by how much you can collect. Just 1mm of rain falling on 1m² of roof can provide around 1 litre of water.

That means all those autumn showers could be quietly filling up your reserves, ready to use for:
🌱 Keeping your lawn hydrated
🪴 Topping up pots and hanging baskets
🚗 Washing the car

We can't predict what next summer will bring, but a little preparation now could make things much easier if the dry weather returns.

Although they may seem harmless, leaves left across your lawn can lead to a number of problems that can quietly grow over the colder months. 🍂

𝐆𝐫𝐚𝐬𝐬 𝐬𝐮𝐟𝐟𝐨𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 - A buildup of leaves can block out sunlight, air and moisture

𝐋𝐚𝐰𝐧 𝐝𝐢𝐬𝐞𝐚𝐬𝐞 - Any trapped moisture can help create fungi

𝐏𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐬 - Unwanted rodents and pests will be drawn to piles of leaves

So it’s not time to put away your garden rake just yet; your lawn will be thankful for you keeping it clear and tidy! ✅

That’s a lot of grass! 😅

In the UK, you’ll find a number of these include common lawn grasses such as perennial ryegrass and red fescue.

We use a bespoke, eco-friendly grass that is part of the carbon4grass range, which provides thicker, richer growth whilst helping the environment by locking carbon into the soil.
