Caroline on site today at our latest Surrey project...

Spanning over 6,000 sq ft, this seven-bedroom family home is steadily taking shape, with recent progress including the installation of windows, the main staircase, beautifully tiled bathrooms and the construction of a bespoke feature step.

From the earliest architectural plans through to the finishing touches, Furnbury has been supporting this project every step of the way. Our architectural and FF&E teams are working on everything from space planning, bathroom design and bespoke joinery to the specification of furniture, lighting, fabrics and soft furnishings.

Seeing those carefully considered design decisions become a reality is what makes this stage of the journey so rewarding.

A well-designed interior isn’t just about how it looks – it’s about how it feels to live in every day.

For this Surrey sitting room, we looked beyond individual pieces and focused on how every element could work together to create a space with warmth, depth and balance.

The dark textured wallpaper adds contrast and anchors the room, while soft linen fabrics introduce lightness. Rich velvet cushions bring comfort and texture, and carefully chosen metallic accents add warmth and sophistication without overwhelming the scheme.

It’s this considered combination of materials, colour and finish that transforms a room from simply decorated to thoughtfully designed.

The result is a timeless family space that’s equally suited to everyday living and entertaining.
