ONE LAST-MINUTE PLACE HAS JUST BECOME AVAILABLE!
A rare opportunity to join us at our first ever Luna Lapin Sewing Retreat this September has just opened up.

We have one residential place available for our retreat in Kendal, 17–20 September 2026.

The place is currently booked as a single occupancy room (£915), but if you’d like to bring someone along who doesn’t want to attend the retreat, we can change it to a double room.

It’s first come, first served, so if you’ve been wishing you could join us, please get in touch!

We know this is VERY short notice, so if you’d love to come but don’t need accommodation, we might be able to convert the booking into a non-residential single place.

What did your Granny teach you?

Or your Mum, Auntie, neighbour, best friend, or whoever it was that first showed you how to sew?

We're thinking about all the little bits of sewing knowledge that get passed from one maker to another. The trick way someone taught you to thread a needle. The scissors you were told never, ever to use on paper. The shortcut for turning a corner.

We have a winner in our midst! Everyone say a big congratulations to our very own lovely Jo Post who won first place at the Selside and Greyrigg country show for this GORGEOUS crochet project.

We are unbelievably lucky to have such a host of talent within the CoolCrafting team and I think Jo really deserves to have her moment because what an incredible project to have completed.

A big hello to all our new followers, and a huge thank you to our lovely friends at for sending so many of you our way.

And to all of you who have been here for a while, thank you for being part of Luna’s little world. Whether you’ve been sewing Luna’s adventures for years or you’ve only just discovered her, we’re so glad you’re here!

A Luna Eclipse!
Thank you to friend of the business Claire Cheesman for sending us this lovely photograph from Wednesdays eclipse. We wish we had thought of it! Neither mum or I where particular successful eclipse viewers. Did you manage to catch a glimpse?

Reintroducing Luna’s bigger (machine-sewn) friends.

We designed our bigger friends with small hands in mind. Flora, Bramble, Ernest and the rest of the gang are meant to be much-loved, dragged along the garden path, into the car, out on an adventure and back home for a cuddle.

Our bigger animal kits are made from more durable, wonderfully snugglable materials and intended to be squished, squashed and cuddled. They don’t like being handled roughly, but they will never say no to a snuggle.

Our corduroy, bouclé and linen are all washable too (line dry only), making these lovely companions for messy explorers.

Where Luna is a little rabbit made for bigger hands, a way to learn new skills, and discover the joy of making. Our bigger friends are made to be carried, cuddled and taken everywhere
