What should I be doing?
Making things.
What have I been doing?
Spending WAY too long setting up a lovely little photoshoot with this guy.

I feel like giving up.
Every part of working in ceramics is so expensive and everything I make takes SO long. I put so much of my heart into it all and I'm dreading opening the kiln lately.
I don't even make minimum wage for the hours I put in.

GIVEAWAY!!!

Hello friends!!!
So I've decided to do a little giveaway.
I haven't put these mini drawings in the shop yet.
I will!
In the meantime, if you'd like your own animal drawing (no specific pets) drop your fave animal below and tag a friend! Multiple entries allowed.
Whoever wins will get a little pic of the animal of their choice (as soon as I get a chance to get to it!)

This was too cool not to add to the grid.
Glaze combinations! Look at all those beautiful effects!
So glad I took the time to do these test tiles.
The 1st pic shows just 9 from the 45 I made.
What are your favourites?

Look back at 2025.

1 & 2- Started to play with designing and making some little trinket cloches
3- February, Agnes the Anglerfish vase went kinda viral, but the post was deleted by the admin from the FB group and I was blocked 😑
4- Luckily lots of you found me though and I made my first black Agnes!
5 & 6- We met the lambs at the local farm!!!
7 & 8- We had a mini break at a gorgeous cabin in the middle of nowhere!
9- We had robins (and wrens!) nest in the garden!
10- Rosie went off on her residential trip in her last year at primary school.
11 & 12- we had our first ever family holiday abroad!
13- One of my besties came back for a visit from Australia!
14- Rosie finished primary school 😭
15 & 16- The Agnes army in production and packed for shipping.
17- A day trip to Brighton.
18 & 19- Short break to Camber Sands for a caravanning holiday.
20- My only market of the year with in Brighton.

What a year.
All of the Agnes orders are done. I'm feeling very lost and a little worried about about the coming year, but I'll keep working and I just hope that I get some more exposure that will bring in more orders.

Thank you to you all for coming along with me for the ride, and for all of your support.

Fingers crossed for the next 12 months.
🤍

Just going to brag for a moment. I know it's long, but please take a few minutes to read 🤍
I don't like to blow my own horn. It doesn't come naturally, and I feel like it comes across as spam when I post my work online. It's cringey and unnatural to me, however...I was just looking through my work (those of you who've been around for years will have seen this piece many times before) and I wanted to share it again.
I don't often get to work on sculpture like this. I wish I did, but I need to bring in an income to support my family, and work like this is expensive (so doesn't sell) and I can't ship it (collection only)
This is entirely hand made from porcelain clay. I started with a hollow ball of clay. Each little mushroom, shell, textural piece is sculpted separately and added to the sphere.
I didn't even know if it'd survive the firing in the kiln, but it did! The rod it's balanced on is gilded with 24k gold leaf. The base is teak wood, and it's displayed in a glass cloche.
I'm so so proud of it and really wanted to share it (slightly uncomfortably)
If you managed to read all of that, thank you 🤍
