P R E S S P A U S E || Dahomey 🤺🇧🇯

A moment to step away, slow down, and take in the beauty around us.

Our Press Pause series is about finding inspiration beyond the everyday — in places, textures, landscapes, and spaces that invite us to pause and simply be.

Sometimes, the best design inspiration is found when we stop looking for it ✈️✨

I N T E R I O R S T Y L E R E S E T // It’s often the small changes that make the biggest difference ✨

This dining room is a great reminder that transforming your home doesn’t always mean a complete redesign. Sometimes it’s about the right lighting, a beautiful piece of furniture, considered colour, or those finishing touches that bring everything together.

The result? A space that feels more inviting, more personal — and so much more you.

Thinking about making some small but impactful changes at home? Tell us the room you’d love to transform in the comments 👇

M O O D B O A R D M O N D A Y // Small Room. Big Personality ✨

Why should a guest bathroom be an afterthought? 👀

We’re loving this playful boutique-hotel look — bold botanical tiles, warm brass, black accents, soft white sanitaryware and a little bit of unexpected personality.

The result? A bathroom that feels considered, characterful and a little bit luxurious, without taking itself too seriously.

And that’s exactly why we love designing smaller spaces. You don’t need to transform the whole house to make an impact. Sometimes, one room with the right colours, materials and details can change how the whole property feels.

💭 Would you be brave enough to go this bold in your bathroom?

Team Statement 🌿 or Team Neutral 🤍?
Tell us in the comments 👇🏾

And if you have a bathroom that’s more functional than fabulous, send us a photo. We’d love to show you what could be possible.

B E F O R E M E E T S A F T E R // Before a room comes together, there’s always a vision 👀

This living room started with a mood board — a visual exploration of colour, texture, materials and atmosphere that allowed us to define the direction before bringing it into the space.

Now, placed alongside the actual room, you can see how those initial ideas begin to take shape 🤗🤩

A mood board isn't simply about making a space look beautiful. It's about creating clarity — helping you visualise the concept, understand how the elements work together, and make confident design decisions before the transformation begins.

From inspiration to reality ✨

Could you picture yourself in this living room?
What’s the first detail you notice — the colour palette, textures, furniture or lighting? Comment 👇

M O O D B O A R D M O N D A Y // An English country-house charm filtered through a contemporary, design-conscious lens. It’s romantic and feminine without being overly traditional, balancing soft floral nostalgia with sculptural furniture and warm timber details.

How to achieve this look in a renovation:

1. Start with the architecture, not the Pinterest board
If you're renovating a period property, retain or restore the features that give the property its personality — fireplaces, cornicing, ceiling roses, original doors, timber floors or panelling where appropriate.

Then introduce contemporary pieces around them.
The contrast is what makes this style work.

2. Choose one "hero" pattern
Don't be afraid of wallpaper. A floral like this can transform a room, but let it be the star.
For a similar effect, choose a pattern with a muted background and several accent colours. Then pull those colours into artwork, upholstery and accessories.

✔A useful rule:
Repeat the colours, not necessarily the pattern.

That makes the room feel designed rather than overly matched.

3. Mix old and new
This room works because everything isn't from the same design era.

✔Try combining:
vintage chandelier + contemporary table
traditional wallpaper + modern artwork
antique accessory + clean-lined cabinetry
classic upholstery + unexpected flooring

✔This is where a stylist's eye can make a significant difference — the individual pieces matter, but the relationship between them matters more.

4. Think in layers
A successful eclectic room usually has several visual "heights":

floor → furniture → artwork → lighting → plants → small objects

This creates depth.
For example, don't simply put a sideboard against a wall. Style it with artwork leaning behind it, a sculptural object, books, a lamp and greenery.

A beautiful interior doesn't come from buying beautiful things.
It comes from knowing which things to combine, what to repeat, what to contrast and when to stop.
That is often where professional interior design and styling adds the most value.
