One of the biggest misconceptions about interior design is that creating a luxurious home requires an unlimited budget.
Recently, a client came to us with a challenge: they wanted a high-end, bespoke look, but their budget simply didn’t allow for every item to be sourced from luxury brands.
Instead of compromising on quality, we approached the project differently.
We prioritised investment pieces where they matter most, upholstery, lighting and joinery. We sourced one-of-a-kind items from local artisans, incorporated carefully selected clearance pieces from premium suppliers, refinished existing furniture that still had great bones, and mixed bespoke elements with off-the-shelf solutions that looked custom once installed.
Luxury isn’t about spending more. It’s about knowing where to spend.
The result was a home that felt layered, personal and considered, without exceeding the client’s budget.
A good designer doesn’t necessarily make a project more expensive. They help you avoid costly mistakes and maximise every pound invested.
Are you planning a renovation and unsure where to allocate your budget? Let’s talk.
