A sweet corner of the kitchen and dining room. Axel Einar Hjorth’s ‘Utö’ dining chairs, carved in solid pine, the ridges worn into corduroy-like stripes over nearly a century of use.
It’s the countryside furniture he made in the 1930s, and it’s become so collectable. But I mix it with other pieces because I’m interested in function.
The linen curtain divides the space without closing it off, leaving room to breathe.
