Join us on Wednesday 2nd September for a free demonstration. Learn how to insert a zip, an essential sewing skill for dressmaking, repairs and bagmaking.

Come and watch some simple, beginner-friendly methods of inserting zips to get you started on the road to home sewing. Enhance items with multi-coloured zips or just see how to replace old and broken ones.

No need to book, just drop in between 11am and 1pm!

Next week we are offering another back to school sewing workshop!

Bring along a couple of items of school clothing and learn how to make essential alterations. We will cover skills including replacing buttons, shortening and lengthening trousers and skirts, and attaching name labels and badges.

Our first Wednesday Skills centre class for this Autumn season is Altering and Repairing school uniforms in good time for the start of the new term. Come and learn practical techniques including shortening or lengthening trousers or skirts, hems, replacing buttons, attaching name tapes and badges. Really useful workshop. Wednesday 19th August. 11am to 1pm. £15.
